What They Say

We are proud to share with you our latest Ofsted Report, which states that our school continues to be a 'Good School'. The report identifies "a caring and inclusive school ethos that is underpinned by increasingly high academic expectations". The report recognises that we "have established a respectful, enthusiastic and happy community in which every pupil receives the individual care and attention needed to thrive". We also received the attached letter from Mark Parkinson, Director of Education congratulating the school, staff and governors.

We are delighted to share with you our Church of England Report, which grades us as ‘Outstanding’. The principal objective of SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican & Methodist Schools) inspection is to evaluate the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a church school, and how well the distinctive Christian character and ethos of the school ensure the development and achievement of the whole child. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and are thrilled with the written report. In particular the Inspector recognised the high expectations we have for each pupil’s development, academic and personal wellbeing, along with the schools commitment to quality learning in a positive, happy and Christian atmosphere. The report really is a credit to all staff, pupils and parents alike.

We have now updated our Investors in People Gold Award, and have again achieved this accolade. The assessors reported that we achieved one hundred and ninety three standards. This is a great achievement for everyone in our school community.

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved our Artsmark Gold Award! Please read the attached letter to learn a little more about this award, and the hard work and commitment from pupils involved. "As a Gold Artsmark School, Arts Council England celebrates your commitment to arts and cultural education at a leadership level, and the opportunity embedded across your provision. Your children and young people have equal opportunity to plan, experience, participate in, and evaluate a diverse range of high quality arts and cultural activities and you recognise the importance of development opportunities delivered by specialists". We also got a mention on the Curious Minds newsletter.

We are pleased that our passion for children to learn outside the classroom has now been recognised. We achieved the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Mark Gold Award in July 2018. The LOTC Mark (Gold) has been rewarded in recognition of
  • A commitment to ensuring all learners have access to good quality educational experiences beyond the classroom walls.
  • Engaging in an ongoing process to ensure frequent, continuous and progressive learning outside the classroom opportunities are integrated into the curriculum.
The views of parents are very important to us;

Our October 2017 questionnaire showed that 100% or parents/carers said their children were happy and felt safe at our school, and that school makes sure its pupils are well behaved.

Our November 2018 questionnaireconfirmed that 100% of Parents and Carers felt that their child is happy at school, feels safe, makes good progress and is taught well. Please follow the link to see the responses for the complete questionnaire and for some of the additional comments made.

Aspirations Week was a huge success with children listening to presentations from a wide range of occupations. Please click the link to read some of the comments we received.
