Letter from Mrs Chambers

Dear Parents/Carers

It has been a fantastic start to the new school year. The children have quickly settled into our new routines and appear to be happy to be back in school. All new structures and systems have worked very well and we are confident that this new way of working is as safe as we can make our environment for children, staff and families. We are constantly reviewing our risk assessments and will make changes where we feel we can further improve any aspect of safeguarding for our school community.

From Monday 7 September all staggered start and finish times will stay in place.

Reception am session 8.40am – 11am Parents of Reception children may enter the playground at the start of the day to drop children off at the outside of the Reception classroom.

Reception pm session 12.55pm – 2.55pm Reception children will be met by staff at the outside gate at the side of our school, taken to the classroom and will leave through the first side gate where they can be collected.

Year 1 and Year 2 8.40am – 2.55pm Parents of Year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 children must not enter the playground.

Year 3 and Year 4 8.50am – 3.05pm

Year 5 and Year 6 9am-3.15pm

Children must arrive at the allocated time for their year group. This is to ensure that class ‘bubbles’ can be maintained, reduce any congestion at arrival and departure times and allow for appropriate social distancing. If you arrive early and during a different allocated time we request that you please stand well away from the gate to allow other parents to access their children in a safe manner.

Just a reminder that children must not bring school bags to school. Just their packed lunch and a water bottle. We are a healthy eating school therefore sweets are not permitted in lunch boxes.

A huge thank you for your co-operation in helping us to implement these safety measures. I will keep you updated with any further changes we make.

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs Chambers
