Message From Mrs Chambers

 Dear Parents/Carers

Today is the last day of what has been the most unusual term ever. We have spent this last term working very differently and we have been really grateful for your messages of kindness and support regarding the learning grids and communication that we have made available to you over this time. It has been lovely to see all the different things that your children have achieved. Thank you for your emails and photos. I hope you have found the video communication and social story videos useful to help your child prepare for their transition to the next year group. Don’t forget to use our website if you want any additional learning for your child over the summer holidays. Do try to get a well deserved rest though!

We say a special goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 pupils as they move onto high school. Yesterday we had our usual Year 6 performance of ‘Cinderella’, the Roald Dahl version. As usual there were some very creative virtual performances! Our Awards Presentation Evening also took place last night, again in a virtual way. Congratulations to all our Year 6 pupils. Well done! We thank all our Year 6 families for the fantastic partnership that we have had with them over these past seven years and wish you all the very best for the future. We hope that you stay in touch.

I hope you have had chance to read our plans for opening our school fully in September. There are staggered start and finish times so please note these possible changes in times for your child. We look forward to welcoming everyone back as safely as we can and I hope you feel that the changes that we are making give you confidence to return your child to school.

I hope you have a wonderful summer break and send you all our best wishes on behalf of the staff and Governors of Willaston Church of England Primary School.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Chambers
